  • I need to make an appointment for myself with the dentist.

  • We found out Lindsey and Curtis are having a boy and I cannot wait until I can go shopping for him.
  • I've lost 18 pounds since I joined the gym!!!! It would be more if I wasn't eating so bad.
  • I can't wait until Thursday night. I am so ready for a night out. I hope my best friend can come with us!!!!
  • I also can't wait until Saturday! I like being the only girl in the group :)
  • I am craving Starbucks
  • I really hate the show Fish Hooks on Disney... HATE HATE HATE it!!!
  • I am way too tired to finish this blog. I think I am going to go to bed early tonight.

Monday Madness

It's hard to believe it is only February. It seems like it should be much later in the year. So much has happened the last few months that everything seems like a blur right now. I have to take a minute to give mad props to all the single parents out there. It takes an incredibly strong person to do this. I don't know what I would do if it were for Mom, Matt, and Margie. Thanks guys! <3

Monday should be an easy day. I don't have any plans so hopefully the day goes well. Maybe we'll hit the gym sometime. Oh I'm on call, but I doubt I'll need to go in.

Tuesday both boys have a dentist appointment...at the same time. That should be ummm fun?! I work Tuesday night 6:30 until close.

Wednesday is bill paying day... woohoo... or something. I think I'll skip cardio on Wednesday and do some extra weight training.

Thursday will be spent cleaning the apartment. I need to get the boys a toy box. Thursday night is dart league night at The Putter. I am looking forward to this night. Matt will be keeping the boys while Mom and I go have some fun.

Friday I'm on call from 12-3 but I doubt I'll need to go in. Friday will be cardio day at the gym for sure! I'll probably do some baking Friday night.

Saturday should be D&D day. The boys will be going to a new sitter. We met her last week. I'm confident she will work out great.

Sunday will be gym day of course and the boys and I will probably go to lunch like we did today.

Seems to be an easy week, but I am prepared for something to come up...it always does. I have to admit though I am looking forward to a low key week. Hopefully I can manage to catch up on my sleep.

Patrick

I've been talking about Mason so much lately with all that's been going on. I figured I should blog about Patrick a little bit too.

My little peanut baby is growing up so fast. He's three now for those that don't know. He's an amazing big brother, but he always has been. He's never shown signs of jealousy towards Mason. He's always been very hands on and he loves his bubba.

We never were able to get him into speech classes. We had them set up in Lewisville, but then we moved to Abilene and they fell on the back burner. He's doing so much better with his language just on his own though. I swear every day this child finds new words to say. Right now his favorite phrase is "guess what" he says it before every sentence just about. The one time it melts my heart though is when he comes running up to me "MAMA!!!! Guess what? I LOVE YOU!!!", then he'll tell Mason "I love you bubba, but you can't talk I know you love me too". Is that not the cutest thing EVER???

He says his new "Woody Buzz" shoes make him run faster fast. He'd rather wear his cowboy boots though. He looks so much like his daddy, and he's still my skinny little boy. His 3T pants all fall off of him, but the 2Ts are all too short. It won't be long before Mason is bigger than him.

He loves to help mama cook, and he is so independent. He's very much into cars, trains, football, basketball, baseball, legos, and Elmo.

I'm crying while I write this because it's hard to believe that he's growing up so fast. It seems like just yesterday I was pacing the floors in Chicago waiting for the contractions to make it to two hours so we could go to the hospital.

Mama loves you Boo!

Skeebs

Mason had his follow up today with a doctor we've never seen before. If you remember me saying, his pediatrician is in Highland Village which is one heck of a drive, so I found him a doctor closer to home. She is super nice, and I think we'll be pleased with her.

Mason is no longer wheezing at all. She was very impressed based on the records from the children's hospital. He finished his anti-inflammatory today and after Sunday he'll no longer need breathing treatments. He'll need to start getting flu shots beginning next season (we don't get them) since he gets sick so fast and so often. I'll need to bring him in every time he gets a cold because she'll need to document if he wheezes when sick because that is the only way they can determine if he has asthma. He weighs 21 pounds which is up a pound from Monday lol

I am so glad he is doing so well with the treatments. He's my big man! Thanks everyone again for the emails, phone calls, texts, messages, etc asking about Mason and thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. We have the best friends EVER.

Mason sends sloppy open mouth baby kisses to all of you. :)

Friday Randoms...

I am too tired to blog tonight...
I really need to go to bed.
Mason has a doctor's appointment with a new doctor tomorrow. It's a follow up to the ER visit on Monday. I hope we all like the new doctor and I hope they know their stuff.
We're going to look at houses tomorrow. I'm excited!
Bob comes home tomorrow. I can't wait!
I am starving, but I am too tired to go get something to eat. I should have stopped on my way back from picking the boys up.
I took the boys to Chuck E Cheese today and we actually survived lol
I miss you!
I am starting to look for a full time job. I hope I can find one quickly. I love Gymboree but it's just not enough hours.
Did I mention I am tired? lol
I love you!
That's all I got because I am too tired to think of more.

Good night and I hope you all have a fantastic weekend.

Thursday Thankfuls

Today I am thankful for...

24 Hour Fitness because without this gym I would not have lost 15 pounds in a month. Everyone up there knows the boys and I by name now lol

My mom, Matt, Margie, and Scott for helping with the boys as much as you do

Rob (My DM) for letting me borrow this book because it is so freaking awesome. I am actually reading a page in between typing each "I'm thankful" lol

The EMTs from Cook Children's for taking such good care of my baby and making sure he was okay and arrived at the hospital in one piece. I hope to find out your names and send you a card and maybe a gift basket soon. Mason sleeps with the teddy bear every night. He snuggles up to it and says "I love you".

All my friends, family, mom and Matt's friends, and facebook friends for checking on Mason so much these last few days/weeks. I'm honored that he has so many people that love him.

My love! You are such an amazing man. I miss you so much and I love you more than you'll ever know. I can't wait to be in your arms again. I miss your kisses, your touch, the way you look at me, I miss it all.

Rob again (and Josh, Russ, Dominic, Paul, and Tim) for welcoming me to your group and giving me a break from everyday life every two weeks.  Y'all are pretty awesome and I'm glad I met each of you. :)

Wordless Wednesday

There is nothing scarier than seeing this sight. I don't think I've ever cried so hard

Look out! It's a Skeebasaur... he's pretty mean too.

14 Hours...

Many things can happen in 14 hours. Today was a whirlwind of emotions during said 14 hours.

Let's start with Sunday night. I get home from work and mom suggests calling the doctor first thing Monday morning because Mason is wheezing worse than he had been. I told her I would call as soon as they opened to make an appointment.

9:30 Monday morning I call the pediatrician. Now mind you our pediatrician is in Highland Village and we live in Grand Prairie. That's a good 45 minutes to an hour+ drive depending on traffic, construction, etc.

We make an appointment for 10:30. The boys and I get dressed real quick and load up so we can make it in time. They get us right back. Mason weighs 20 lbs, his temp is 98.8, his pulse ox is 95. The PA comes in, asks a few questions, checks him out, tells me his wheezing is pretty bad. She orders a breathing treatment and after his treatment his pulse ox falls to 91. The nurse informs me that it has to be steady at 96 or higher before he can be released to go home. His wheezing isn't any better so the PA has the doctor come check it out.

They put him on oxygen and at one point his pulse ox was only a 94 on a level 7 of oxygen (not sure how they measure oxygen, but it was 7 *whatever the measurement is*, then he coughed and broke something loose because he raised his pulse ox up enough to where he could be a on room air only for a good 15 minutes, then it fell pretty hard and they couldn't get it up from the 80s on a level 7. The doctor said he has pneumonia and that I needed to prepare for a hospital stay.

They called for an ambulance and something like 2+ hours later they finally show up. They transport Mason to Cook Children's Hospital in Fort Worth. I took Patrick home and my mom and I met the ambulance at the hospital while Matt stayed with Patrick.

We had to wait 3 hours before we even saw a doctor, it was crazy busy tonight. Once the doctor finally came in she said (and I quote) "Yup, he's wheezing, we'll do a breathing treatment". Finally after three more breathing treatments the doctor was satisfied enough to let him go home.

He was diagnosed with Reactive Airway Disease because they won't say asthma until he's 2. He's on meds once a day for four days, and breathing treatments for as long as he needs them. We have to follow up with our doctor in about 48 hours.

Monday Madness

Tonight was New Line. I didn't work Kid Girl with Joy after all. I was given the entire Newborn section to do by myself. I was, once again, finished first. I then helped Joy and Emily. So if you walk into the Gymboree at the Parks Mall the first thing you see will be my work (the table) and the entire back of the store is my work too. All this after spending the day grocery shopping and a trip to the gym.

Monday I am off. I'm sure I'll hit the gym at some point in time. I also need to make a doctor's appointment for Mason. He's still very wheezy.

Tuesday I'm going to meet with a potential new sitter for the boys for when I play D&D. I work Tuesday night. Maybe some gym time if I can fit it in.

Wednesday I am off, and we're meeting Cindy and Phoebe for lunch in Lewisville.

Thursday I am off as well and I'll be in the gym at some point in time today.

Friday Bob will be home and I work that night.

I also work Saturday night. This will be the last Saturday I work. I request off on the Saturdays we play D&D and the Saturdays we don't play Bob is home so I just told the manager I needed Saturdays off from now on. She didn't mind at all.

Now I'm off to read until I fall asleep.

Perfect Saturday!

Did a little more shopping this morning with my babies. Then they went to spend some time with Miss Margie and Him (Scott).

It was Dungeons and Dragons Saturday too and we had two big fights (Thanks for that Rob...)! It was pretty freaking awesome and we're not done with the second one yet. Kind of bummed that we have to wait two weeks to play again (Thanks for that too Rob pft... just kidding). I don't feel awkward being the only girl anymore, I feel more at ease and like I actually belong there lol. Kind of bummed we're almost done, but I'm glad we have another game lined up already. I KNOW that game is going to be intense (pretty sure intense doesn't even begin to describe what's in store for us).

I'm pretty sure between the books I've been reading, Dungeons and Dragons, this new game we'll be starting soon, and the fact that I applied for a job at Lone Star Comics that my inner geek has been found and is coming out. I don't mind it one bit... in fact I think I even like it :P (we can thank Rob for that too).

At least I can pull off looking cute while I'm letting my inner geek out, I don't think any of the group will argue with the fact that I'm the best looking in the group. HA!!!!! Plus they like my food (or they're REALLY good liars lol).

After D&D Margie and Scott invited the boys and I to stay for dinner. We had some really amazing bar-b-que. Now the boys are tucked into bed and this mama is going to read and then hopefully watch a movie if she can stay up long enough.

I hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend. Stay safe!!!

Busy Day!

Friday ended up being quite a busy day for the Tankersley family...

The boys and I decided on donuts for breakfast so we went to Krispy Kreme so they could watch the donuts being made. That was cool, even for me. Then we drove around town looking at some houses and just enjoying being able to have the windows down and the radio up loud. We met Mom and Matt for a little bit so they could see the boys.

We decided to do some shopping and the boys got a bunch of new clothes, some new shoes, and new socks. I got a new vacuum YAY! lol and some new shoes and clothes. I even bought Bob a few things :P

After shopping we decided to pay a visit to the ice cream truck and we all got some yummy treats.

Up next was grocery shopping, not a big trip (that will likely come Monday or Tuesday). Just a few things to make some good food for tomorrow's Dungeons and Dragons game. I made these bite size pinwheel wrap things and some homemade pico. The pico has a pretty good kick to it so I hope the guys can handle it.

Now I am going to try my hardest to stay awake long enough to finish Letters to Juliet.

I hope you all have a great weekend! Enjoy and be safe!!!!!

Friday Randoms...

Happy Friday Skeeberboo readers!!! I hope everyone's week went well and I hope your weekend is even better. Anyone enjoying a three day weekend? The kids around here have to go to school Monday to make up for bad weather days.

As for my weekend...

A friend of mine is coming over today to hopefully help me change the fog lamp on my car because I really don't want to have to take it to Hyundai to pay way too much money. This is when it sucks not having a man at home.

I'm on call tonight, but I doubt I'll have to go in because she scheduled two people besides herself anyway. If they both call in then there's something wrong here. Besides, I may not have a sitter tonight depending on how the day progresses.

Tomorrow is Dungeons and Dragons day so I'll be doing that most of the day (from about noon until about 6). Maybe getting together with a friend tomorrow night, that will also depend on how today progresses.

Sunday... well Sunday will likely be laundry day then we have a floor set Sunday night. I'll be rocking Kid Girl with Joy... ohhhh Joy! HA!

Anyway, on to the randoms of Friday Randoms...

I have a pain in my right Bicep, and I don't think it's DOMS only because it's not a constant pull, only when I straighten my arm out. It's enough to keep me off the weights for a few days, but I need to get some cardio in.

Bob said Loki ran away already because he had to leave him in brownsville while he went to Eagle Pass. Maybe he'll be hanging around the office when Bob gets back.

Mason seems to be doing better, but he's really wheezy. I think I''m going to get him tested for ahsma.

My wall charger finally 100% quit so now I have to sit in my car when I need to charge my phone. That's quite annoying.

I hate when my morning routine doesn't go the way it's supposed to. I've gotten so used to getting a good morning text from a really good friend that when it doesn't happen it kind of makes the rest of the day suck.

Coming Up on Skeeberboo...

Stay tuned in the coming days for a couple of special posts. I'll have my CSNstores.com review and also a special Swagbucks Birthday Celebration post.

Happy Valentines Day!

I hope all my readers have a great Valentines Day! I hope all my female readers get pampered with flowers, candy, jewelry, dinner etc. I hope all my male readers get pampered with... well I think we all know what men like!!! LOL

I doubt I'll be getting flowers at work like I hoped for, maybe Mother's Day, our anniversary, or my birthday will prove to be different. Not that I work tomorrow anyway, but that's not the point, lol.

Bob wanted to get me this really awesome charm bracelet, but they didn't have all the characters to represent all my littles. I told him it was fine because I don't wear the one he got me for Mother's Day, or my Pandora bracelet anyway.

My Valentines Night will be spent in the gym...

Speaking of the gym...

Check out this progress pic!!!

Getting Ink

Sometime in October/November I decided I wanted to get my first tattoo. I scoured over designs, I talked to artists, I went back and forth between locations on my body, and I talked to friends. I'm finally 100% sure what I want.

I'm going to a shop here in Arlington called Hellbent Tattoos, my artist will be Brad, I have my design picked out (it's a secret though), I know where I'm getting it (also a secret), and I have the price.

I'll be going either on the 19th or the 26th, March 1st at the latest. I'm nervous, but I''m not really nervous about the pain, I'm not nervous about the fact this will be a part of me forever, I'm nervous about going by myself. I want someone there with me.

I'll share pics on the blog after I get it done. While I'm nervous, I'm also really excited!!! I have to thank Stephanie (and her husband) for the design, and Monica, Jason, and Brad (the artist) for the location. I'm so excited I already know what I want my second one to be, assuming I don't chicken out after I get the first one done.

Work?!

Between the weather and my managers inability to assign all team members the same amount of hours I haven't worked very much in the past three weeks or so. I worked 3 hours last week and 3 hours this week. That means my check Friday is going to be a whole 6 hours. *sigh*

I get in there last night and notice we have a new sale going on, I ask the assistant about it stating that I haven't worked in over a week and she replies with "Well I haven't been here since Monday, figure it out". Thanks!

Oh well what can ya do? I figured out the promotion and did all the work, as always, while she stood at the register by the heater because she was cold.

We did manage to get out of there by 9:09 though because she's the opening manager today and she told me not to clean the store, so I didn't. I guess she's going to do it herself when she gets there... yeah right, the manager is on vacation, the store will still be a mess when I go in on Wednesday. Oh yeah, a whole three hours next week too.

I NEED a new job and SOON!!!!

Thursday Thankfuls

Today I am thankful for:

My mom and Matt yet again. This time for doing what you did yesterday in order to help us out in the coming weeks.

My littles for sleeping all night and neither of you waking up screaming or crying.

The postal service actually bringing me my book yesterday because without that book I could not have accomplished an hour on the treadmill.

The scale at the gym because I now know I've lost 11.7 pounds since I joined. I'd be interested in seeing what my scale says though. Sadly it's in Abilene and the batteries are dead anyway.

YOU! Because without you I'd never had listened to that music, read that book, played that game, ate that food, or watched that movie. THANK YOU! IMYLM... ...ILYLC!!!!

For my husband coming home tomorrow. Patrick asks me everyday "daddy come my house today?" It makes me sad.

Antibiotics... for making my skeebs all better. He has his attitude back, that's for sure!

WOW! It's been a minute

We lost our internet in the winter storm we got last week. If you visited my blog you may have seen some random posts with random characters and letters. That would be my phone's way of posting to the blog. I am back now though so we will return to our regularly scheduled blogging tomorrow.

What's been happening this week?

Wednesday was my Dad and Dana's surgery. If you don't remember my sister, Dana, donated a kidney to my dad. Everything went well. Dana went home yesterday and my dad will be leaving the hospital tomorrow.

On Sunday I had to take Mason to the emergency room because he was running a temp of 105!!!!! He has bronchitis, double ear infection, and viral conjunctivitis. Poor baby!!! I was up there all alone and luckily Margie and Scott came and picked Patrick up so I could concentrate on getting Mason's temp down before it caused serious damage.

We're expecting more snow tomorrow so hopefully the internet doesn't go down again.

It feels good to be back!!! Oh and I dyed my hair black :)
