It's a...

GIRL!!!!

We're so happy and excited. Mason and Patrick can't wait to meet their "baby sister girl". We will call her bug, but her name is a secret to anyone who isn't family or close friends. She's measuring about a week ahead and she has long legs and big feet just like daddy. She lays sideways right now and moves all over the place. I can't wait until May/June.

In other words...
Daniel and I are getting married in two weeks. We're doing a private ceremony at his childhood church and then having a larger ceremony after bug is born.

Back in the Saddle

Now that I have constant internet access I'll be blogging more often. I've missed it and I've had so much going on it's crazy... Here is an update post.

Mason: Skeeber is two now. We didn't have a party this year, but we did do cake with the family. We've started the potty training process, but it's taking a while just as it did with Patrick. Mason had a great Christmas and was spoiled beyond belief. He's talking more and no longer needs speech therapy. No more pacifier either. YAY!!!

Patrick: Boo is four and is so smart. He remember everything you've ever said. HA! He's into Cars, Toy Story, Yankees, and Dallas Stars. We took the boys to their first hockey game today. They had so much fun. Patrick should be starting school this Fall. He's excited.

Daniel: Daniel is almost done with school. I can't wait until that's over with. Other than that there really isn't much going on with him.

Baby Carey: The pregnancy is on week 20 now and going well. We just found out I have Gestational Diabetes again...for the third time. It sucks, but I figured it was coming. We find out the sex soon. Everyone thinks it's a girl, but we'll see. I'll post our big reveal after the family knows. The name is a secret though. The due date is June 2nd, but I think (s)he'll come before May 26th. Just a feeling I have. I can feel movement, but Daddy hasn't been able to feel any yet. I'm wondering if I should change the name of the blog since we're adding a bug to the mix, but I don't like "Skeeberboobug" HAHA!

Me: I'm still working at Gymboree, but I quit Dollar General. The stress level was just too much for me, plus since we moved it was wayyyy too much gas and time getting to and from work. I'm glad to be back at Gymboree, I missed my family there. Although I have to admit, if I have a girl, I'm going to go totally broke working there. I'm exhausted all the time and I'm super emotional during this pregnancy...way more than I was with the boys.

It's Been Entirely Way Too Long

I'm now 12 weeks pregnant. I'm working two jobs. I'm doing new line at Gymboree twice a month and I work full time as a lead associate at Dollar General. Daniel is still unemployed. It's getting very frustrating but we're making it work. Bob quit his job so he isn't paying child support anymore either. I guess his girlfriend makes enough money for him to mooch off her. Oh well, he'll do her just like he did Renee and myself. He wanted the boys for Thanksgiving and Patrick told him No, he didn't want to go. We decided not to force the issue. I'm working on Thanksgiving, but we're going to Daniel's parents' after I get off and we're spending Friday with them as well.

Patrick is doing well, he's 4 now. We had a firetruck birthday party. We even took him to the firehouse, but he was scared of the horn and siren. Mason is doing well too. He has a great vocabulary now and he talks non stop, just like his brother.

Other than that there really isn't much going on. I work all the time. I still play darts when I manage to get a Thursday night off. Our last game of the season is December 2nd. We're around mid range for point standings.

I'm sure this one will bring my haters out...

I'm due June 2nd! It's been a crazy couple of weeks, especially the last few days. My family knows, but his family doesn't know yet. I hope we can tell them this coming week. He's nervous to tell them.

Broken Computer

My computer has been broken for going on a month now so I haven't been able to blog. We're at Debbie's house for a Labor Day get together so I thought I'd jump on the computer and update my readers on what's going on. Not much to report really, but we're all still alive and healthy. Mason started speech last week, and he's already improved so much. Kayla went back to Abilene. Patrick didn't get into Pre-K this year but we're going to do the early sign up for next year. Daniel still doesn't have a job, but he's trying. I'm still at Gymboree. I guess that's all there is really.

Updates!

Mason: Mason has his behavior evaluation and speech evaluation next week. He's started talking a little more since we've been working with him. His breathing has been really good lately. He hasn't needed any meds for a couple weeks now. I'm hoping it stays that way. He's getting so big. He's 19 months now. They grow up way too fast.

Patrick: Patrick is doing well too. Not to much to report on him. He'll be four next month. We're doing a fire truck theme for his party. He's excited already!

Kayla: Kayla will be starting school with us this year. She made the decision to move in with us. She has a little boyfriend here named Gio. He's 11 too, and shorter than Kayla (most 11 year olds are shorter than Kayla though lol).

Me: I'm still working part time at Gymboree, though without a sitter I don't get many hours. Most of my time is spent taking care of the home and of course the kids.

Daniel: Daniel lost his job last week. He's taking it pretty hard, but we're working on finding him something else. Hopefully it doesn't take long.

Other than that there really isn't much going on. It's been a crazy week with all four kids here. Lindsey is going home today so hopefully the four of us can get in a routine now since school will be starting soon.

Monday Madness

It's been awhile since I posted a Monday Madness blog. I haven't had much going on really. This week seems to be a little busier though.

Today was an easy day. We hung out at home with the kids, played Phase 10 and Daniel and I played some "hockey" (which is really me throwing the practice ball and him hitting it back to me). Kayla is in town right now because Nana is in the hospital.

Tomorrow morning we're car shopping, then gym, then ice skating (hockey drills for Daniel), then maybe dinner at his parents (it'll be the first time they meet the kids).

Wednesday Lindsey will be here and we'll probably go swimming while Daniel works.

Thursday night is the first dart game of the season. We play Red's at The Putter.

Friday I'm going to see if we can maybe get a sitter for the boys and then send the girls to a movie so Daniel and I can have a date night.

Saturday should be Dark Heresy day as long as Daniel doesn't have to work so he can watch the kiddies.

Thursday Thankfuls

Today I am thankful for...

  • Good looking doctors and nurses at the Emergency Room (Sorry Daniel, but they were good looking HAHA)
  • Margie and Scott for keeping the boys last night while Daniel and I were at the ER (I was having chest pains)
  • Daniel!!!!!!!!!! 'nuff said
  • The upcoming dart season (1 week from today)... I am so ready to do this!!!
  • My facebook friends for caring so much last night that my phone never shut up while in the ER lol
  • The boys being so well behaved today so I can rest, I am in so much pain.

Extreme Couponing

Since I lost my car I've noticed my stockpile is starting to look a little weak. I think this week I may tell Daniel to suck it up and do REAL grocery shopping with me instead of a trip to the store every other day. I think on Wednesday I'm going to finally make my coupon binder.

The hard thing about this is going to be the fact that Daniel is the world's pickiest eater. He says he'll try to get used to eating the things we do instead of having all three of us change the way we eat. Just wait until I get out of my weight loss funk and start eating as healthy as I used to. He's going to hate it. He even jokingly mentioned eating as his parent's house every night.

I can't wait until we get a bigger place so I have more room for my stockpile. Right now it's in a little corner in my kitchen. It looks quite pathetic.

As soon as I get my stockpile back up I'll be sure to share some pictures with my readers.

An End to a Kid Free Week

My babies will be home tomorrow. I can't wait. I miss them like crazy. Daniel and I enjoyed our kid free week though. Friday we played Putt Putt and ate at Red Robin. Saturday I played Dark Heresy with the guys (they weren't impressed with my Yankee's gear. LOL). I had to work Sunday night for new line. Daniel had to work all day Monday, but he took me to Red Lobster for dinner and then we got ice cream and walked around the Highlands and talked while we enjoyed our ice cream. On Tuesday we saw Horrible Bosses and I met his parents, sister and cousin. That was a fun night! I really like his family. We watched the MLB All-Star Game. Yesterday we went to lunch, did some shopping and...

I got my first tattoo!!!! YAY!!!

Tonight is the dart banquet and Daniel will get to meet my "Putter Family" lol. Oh speaking of darts...I am on the league for next season as a full time player instead of an alternate. That is going to be awesome.

I can't wait to have my babies back in my arms tomorrow. I've missed them so much and I think Daniel may miss them even more than I do haha. The quiet is nice, but we both agree it's nice for a night or two, but after that you really start to miss stepping over toys and being awaken by Mason talking to his teddy bear.

  • Bob is picking the boys up on Saturday and I think the girls, Daniel, and I are going to do some Putt-Putt, and bowling while they are gone.
  • I cannot wait until we can move into a bigger place. It's going to be crazy when Daniel starts bringing all his stuff over here
  • I've already lost half my closet to hockey equipment lol
  • I guess that's all I have for now

oh and an update... Mason is 18% for weight at 22 lbs and 50% for height at 31 inches. His shots were deferred because he was wheezing. He's on a new medication.

No more dating for this mama...

So I've put off writing this blog because I've been busy. It's been a whirlwind of a week, and while most people think it's moving too fast I say I don't care what most people think. :)

Allow me to introduce you to Daniel...

Yes, he's met my kids, yes, he's meeting my parents tomorrow, and yes, we are living together.

Guess Who's Single Again?

Are you ready for more insight into the single mom's dating life? Well good because you're going to get your wish. Apparently I've suffered what my friends and I like to call the curse of the correctional officer. They spend hours a day shutting themselves off in order to keep themselves from making a connection with an inmate that they don't realize they do the same thing at home. In the past month myself and two of my friends have met a correctional officer through the same means (two on the same site even) and all three of them ran away at the mere thought of having to open up to someone.

My only regret is he already met the boys, but it is what it is and one day he'll wake up and realize what he had and that day I'll be waking up next to the one that always knew it. :)

Happy Father's Day to my grandpas, Darrell and Raymond
Happy Father's Day to my uncles, Donnie, David, Mark
Happy Father's Day to Ernie

Happy Father's Day to my male blog readers

and yes, even Happy Father's day to Bob

but right now I want to say a HUGE Happy Father's Day to Scott... you are a true blessing in my boys' lives. You and Margie have helped us out so much I will forever be grateful, but you, Scott, you are such a great male role model in my boys' lives. I appreciate you so much for that. I know the boys love you. Thank you!

  • I wish someone would bring me a coney and chili cheese tots from Sonic with a Vanilla Coke Zero
  • I cut and dyed my hair yesterday. It looks freaking amazing...
  • Last night was so much fun! Last game of the season, and banquet in two weeks.
  • Summer league starts in July and I hope we can get another team going so I can play full time
  • My dad took the boys fishing for the first time last night and they had so much fun. They're gone for a week and it's only the first morning without them and I already miss them like crazy
  • I need to clean Boy's (the fish) bowl out, but I have to admit I have no idea how do it...do I take the fish out and put him in another bowl or ???
  • I am going to spend my kid free time cleaning, it isn't going to do any good because it'll be a mess as soon as they get home again haha
  • Bob's supposed to pick the boys up on July 9th... nearly 3 months since the last time he saw them...
  • I was all ready to sleep til noon today and my Nana woke me up at 10:00 over some trivial nonsense that I really didn't care about...now I'm tired and hungover and I can't go back to sleep because the light comes in my windows too much.
  • I think that's all for now... I need to go eat something

Tuesday Thoughts

  • I miss him!
  • My dad is coming to pick the boys up on Thursday. I'm sure that'll piss Bob off because they'll be there for Father's Day so they won't be calling him.
  • I wish I could spend my kid free time with E but he is helping his brother this weekend
  • I'll probably go out and watch mom, Donna, Debbie, and Janie play darts at Red's then end up doing karaoke with Donna at The Armadillo on Thursday then just sitting at home the rest of the weekend.
  • Lindsey goes home tomorrow
  • After having 3 kids by myself for 3 weeks I am so ready for this break and I love my dad, sister, and step mom for taking them
  • I look forward to 3:00-3:30 every day so I can hear from him. He works over night
  • I need to get back to the gym
  • I did some major couponing on Sunday. I saved 47% at Tom Thumb and Kroger and saved $15 at Albertsons. I now have a little stock pile going and I love it!!!!! E's proud of me too and that is awesome <3 <3 <3
